MRC’s microgrant program ran from 2016 to 2026. After kicking off the program with a grant to a hen rescuer in Norway to support hen reproductive healthcare, we provided hundreds of grants totaling $800,000 to help with animal care and infrastructure projects.
Over the years of giving microgrants, we formed relationships with an amazing community of vegan microsanctuaries and sanctuaries around the world. We’ve been honored to support their work and inspired by the incredible impacts they’ve had. MRC grantees have saved countless lives, shared the stories of their residents (who survived exploitation in so many different forms), and engaged in powerful activism to promote animal liberation and veganism.
We’d love to share a few of our grantees on the following pages.
These MRC Grantee Highlights represent only a fraction of our grantee community, but as repeat microgrant recipients operating on small scales, they’re excellent ambassadors for our grantees!
