Still Water Microsanctuary residents Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst are excellent examples of residents raising awareness about the plight of their species.
Meeting and caring for animals in sanctuary informs how we advocate for them. Not only does it give us an opportunity to further unlearn the harmful ways in which society views animals, but it also allows us to witness their ability to live full, rich and meaningful lives beyond exploitation.
