The Farm Micro Sanctuary has been my life’s passion since its inception in 2021. I am Jessica Wallace, founder and director and the primary caregiver here at the sanctuary. I have been an animal lover my whole life, went to college for an Equine Science degree, and spent about ten years working in veterinary clinics as everything from receptionist to head assistant.

I had been rescuing animals for years on my own but in 2021, I wanted to be able to do more and founding a 501(c)3 was how to be able to do that. I have focused on chickens and goats, specifically senior and special-needs animals, but we also have taken a few horses and ponies too. Giving those older animals a safe place to spend their last years is a gift I am grateful to be able to give.

We currently are fundraising to be able to give our goats a new barn. By giving them a new space, it also allows us to also give our chickens an improved space and opens up space for a separate quarantine/medical barn. Infrastructure is vital to making sure they have everything possible for their time with us.
