Hogs & Kisses Farm Sanctuary, Inc. we believes that all animals deserve love and respect, even the ones that typically end up on plates. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit micro-farm sanctuary with the mission of creating the best possible life for farm animals while inspiring compassion for all living beings. Our extended mission is to help new and existing micro-sanctuaries on their journey of excellent sanctuary animal care.

This year, Hogs & Kisses gets to fulfill on that extended mission and gift a micro-grant to a micro-sanctuary. Sanctuary care is difficult work and learning from others who have this unique expertise is invaluable. We contract with Healthy Herd Consulting and thought this kind of help would greatly benefit other micro-sanctuaries.

Details of the Micro-Grant

Healthy Herd Consulting brings clarity, guidance, and peace of mind to farmed animal sanctuaries and individual caregivers so that they can provide the highest level of care for their residents and themselves.

January 2023:
Two consulting sessions (via Zoom) up to 60 minutes, along with 1.5 hours of written correspondence, resource review, resource gathering, and note transcribing

February 2023:
One consulting session (via Zoom) up to 60 minutes, along with1.5 hours of written correspondence, resource review, resource gathering, and note transcribing
AND
One wrap-up consulting session (via Zoom) up to 30 minutes

Submission Details

Timeline: Application opens December 1, 2022, and deadline is 3 p.m. EST on December 20, 2022. Award announced on December 23, 2022.

Submission: Email the completed application (found on following page) to amolina@hogsandkisses.org by deadline date.

Selection: Hogs & Kisses board members will select the winning micro-sanctuary.
